Quick post today, it’s Mara’s birthday! We are doing some last minute errands getting ready for her party this weekend. Today’s look is one of my favorite classic combos: black and white. I picked up this scarf on our Cali trip and I’ve been wearing it on repeat. I love the tassel detail.  You guys know I am sucker for distressed denim and they have so many cute pairs out right now. Friday, yay! Two years ago I wouldn’t have been able to say this! Saturday was equal to Monday, but now I am trying to enjoy every single weekend. I’ve stopped taking so many photographs, although I get some posts done and I upload some pics on my social media channels. I think it is important to spend some quality time with the people you love and have some time for yourself too.

But we have a long day of work ahead before weekend starts. So, the first thing I’m doing today is sharing with you this new outfit post. The weather is not as cold as a few weeks ago, so I decided to wear my new trench. You can find it on Fashion Pills’ website. In the past, I've found some beautiful statement-y pieces from Express, like this feather skirt and this navy blue peacoat, both which remain in constant closet rotation. However, it's their staple and basic items that I'm always reaching for. For example, this black v-neck sweater is probably worn at least 2x a week (sold out, but here's a similar one) and same goes for the this white one that I'm wearing today. Paired it with their super flattering, high-waisted jeans, which hug the body, in the best possible way. I highly recommend in filling your closet with some key essentials or as I like to call, the building blocks to any wardrobe.

Two of my favourite colours to pair are black and camel. Whenever I can't decide what to wear I seem to always find myself falling back on this combo. Perhaps it's why I can't get enough animal print, like these fabulous sandals from Sole Society. They are the perfect heel for the working girl (2.75 inches), and love that they go with just about everything, just like this reversible tote I also found on Sole Society.

THROWING ON A pink hat today – just because it’s friday! I have always wanted a pink hat for some reason. I imagine myself wearing it in Paris this spring, eating macarons and having some champagne watching the eiffel tower, preferable  on the balcony of Shangri-La. It's quite the statement necklace & amps up the most simple looks.

This camel coat and this grey coat from Monday’s post are two of my favorites from this winter.  I’ve been able to wear them countless times (evidence here, here, and here.)  I can’t seem to stop buying camel coats/sweaters!  I’m loving this one (on major sale), this one (splurge worthy), and this one (just ordered it for spring.)  I paired my classic camel coat with these distressed boyfriend jeans and a crewneck sweater.  If you’re not into the distressed denim look – I suggest these boyfriend jeans which don’t have any rips and are the perfect dark blue wash.

And esta Friday to total black outfit. I'm a not a huge friend of black color: sometimes but I'm in the mood, and I love this outfit !! The skirt is very cute and the blouse is perfect too, Both Were things on sale, hooray !! The belt Gave it a beautiful touch and the boots Were the cherry on top, is not it? But it was right when i wore the trench That I felt in love with esta outfit. It is an odd combination but I love it !! And the red color in the coat is gorgeous. It looks very good !! Valentine's Day will be here before we know it. This precious plaid dolly dress from Chicwish would be an absolutely perfect ensemble to sport to a nice dinner with your parents, husband or boyfriend, or your girlfriends. I love the way it's made and the bow detail. I recommend wearing a fitted turtleneck dress underneath to add a little extra warmth. I love wearing oversize coats in winter with skinny garments, such as jeans or vynil leggings. This one I’m wearing is from Oxygene and you can find it in their website with 30% off! It is perfect if you want to wear a simple look. Just need two must-have accessories this time of the year: scarf and knitted beanie. A black bag would have been fine, but I wanted to give the outfit a touch of color with this small and burgundy one from Calvin Klein. Hope you like the pictures and thank you so much!!

Yesterday's outfit. I was in the mood to wear an (almost) all black outfit. I went for a combination on my favourite leather leggings, cozy turtle neck and I have added my ankle boots and a hat. Because I wanted to bring some colour into the look, I went for my Antigona bag by Givenchy. The photos were taken in Prague, I spent there the whole day. I met a friend of mine (and she also took these pictures) and I also had a couple of meeting regarding my blog. There are some exciting vacations, events and projects coming up this year and I cannot wait to show it to you here on the blog!

Good morning, Everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! 

Honestly, I can't believe it was cold and rainy just 2 weeks ago, but there you have, LA weather is that unpredictable and sometimes Summer begins in January:) Not that I am not happy about that! I love the warmth and the sunshine! Yet, I don't feel like I am quite ready to put away my Winter wardrobe just yet, but I suppose at some point in time it becomes increasingly difficult to ignore the the fact that it's 82 degrees outside and everyone is in shorts:)

Of course the bright side is that I get to break out my new Summer wardrobe favorites like the super cool vest I am wearing in today's post. I've been looking for a longer vest for some time now, and as soon as I spotted this one, I knew I found the one! Love the subtle pinstripes and the length, but it's the deconstructed panels in the front that make it the real stand out piece for me. Today, I paired it with a flare skirt and a crop top, but I think it would look just as good worn with jeans and a tank.

On the second day, I used a warm look and comfortable, all in bright colors, to get away a little of both blacks and grays that we use in this season! Combined a maxi sweater with jeans nude off-white pants, and over a wintry coat. I finished with boot over-the-knee square feet and bag nude.

Good morning, darlings! 

Winter is still here, so I had to make the most out of the sale season and restock 

my wardrobe with some winter essentials. This oversized cardigan is one of them.

 My boyfriend calls is a granny sweater, but I find it usefull for layering and 

mixing light and thick pieces, like I am, today. 

Looking at these pictures brings two thoughts to my mind: first of all, navy is such a

 great neutral color, it’s a shame that I used to avoid it so much until now. 

Secondly, and most importantly, I really need to get a haircut, asap!

DESPITE Being tall for mexican standards (I'm 1.67m) nature did not please me and stylish with long legs, if we take in consideration That I Also have a hard time losing weight on That area and as soon as the extra kilos arrive They nest in there. For Reasons That and many other, every time I dress up I try to elongate my legs as much as possible and I almost never give myself the luxury to make a hem on a pair of trousers and never Also I like to cover the upper part with a loose sweater, I seek to do the Contrary and keep the pant as long as possible and tuck in my top. But Repeated Because Everything That gets a lot Becomes dreadfully monotonous, sometimes I like to break my own rule and balance the result with a pair of very high heels, in esta case, a very high pair of booties.

I recently grabbed this dress from Nordstrom because I loved that it was a little longer in the back - and not too short in the front. Not to mention it would be cute w/a (faux) fur vest on top or paired with flats for a simple look. Plus, it will transition well into the spring! It's got lots of potential for lots of wear. :)

In other news, I recently picked up THIS highlighter & I love. it. so. much! I've mentioned before that I am a product junkie so I've tried a gazillion highlighters - this one is definitely sticking around for the daily makeup routine. I thought I'd share that because I do get so many makeup questions! Question - what eyeliner works best for your bottom eyeliner - I've used Make Up Forevers, Mac, & Nars and none of them stay very long even though they are waterproof! It'd be nice if I could find a drug store option, too!

It’s taken me about 4 years to figure out how to properly dress for New York winters!  Growing up in Arizona, we didn’t have seasons so I had absolutely no clue how to layer when I moved here.  This past November I decided to bite the bullet and invest in really quality sweaters, coats, scarves, and vests.  Material makes a huge difference when it comes to warmth so I tried to stick with wool, cashmere, leather, and suede.  These leather booties have held up season after season of walking through wet, snowy NYC streets.  This sweater is the warmest one I own (still eyeing it in this gorgeous shade of pink.)  Shop more of my cold weather essentials (like this vest which just went on major sale) below and make sure to take advantage of the Piperlime sale – they’re offering 25% off full priced items!

I am currently loving the idea of bare legs, boots and cozy knits. We are having some random chilly days here in LA, but I am so not in the mood to wear jeans. Throwing on a cute dress, some over the knee boots- with warm socks- and a long cozy cardi was just the ticket!

This loose fitting dress goes great with a long cardi that hits just below the hem line of the dress. Mixing up lengths really adds to the look and gives it that chic boho vibe that I love. I haven’t always been fan of over the knee boots- but when I tried these on I fell in love. Not only do they add a little something to an outfit, they are also super comfy. They also help make your legs look longer- which is never a bad thing!

This outfit is super versatile. Throw it on for a trip to the farmers market or even for a coffee date! You can always dress it up with your accessories to add a little extra shine.

My maternity jeans came and I LOVE them!! Last week I ordered a few different styles and ended up keeping the Paige Denim because they are SO beyond comfortable and they only have two small elastics above the front pockets so they don’t look (or feel) like you’re wearing maternity jeans! A few weeks ago, Keith and I escaped the city madness for a little country getaway. We took the pups, piled into the car and drove the three hours to the Catskills, to stay in the cutest airbnb. We spent the weekend cooking, plowing through our pile of magazines and taking in the country calmness. Definitely a much needed mini getaway that we vowed to do a bit more often.

Good morning, Everyone! Hope you are all enjoying your weekend! 

I wanted to say a quick hello and share a few pics Emil and I took in San Luis Obispo on the way back from San Simeon. As I have mentioned in the past, Emil and I love taking these mini driving trips along California coast line. 

Since normally,  it takes about 4 - 5 hours to get to San Simeon and I am the biggest baby in the world and become pretty restless after spending even 2 hours in the car, we always make a few stops along the way. A coffee and a quick walk in Santa Barbara, lunch in San Luis Obispo ( an incredibly charming town, by the way ) not only breaks up the monotony of driving but also gives us a chance to explore a few wonderful coastal towns. For example, this time around, we spent a few hours walking around San Luis Obispo and I have to say, it's one of my new favorite places ever! So, if you ever decide to make this trip, I definitely recommend making a stop. Oh, and you have to check out Scout Coffee on Garden Street! Best coffee I ever had, hands down! :)

I finally get to show you one of my Three Kings presents featured on this outfit. I didn’t expect it at all!! Mi new leopard printed booties that I have seen so many times and that I was dying to have. They are mine at last!! (Thanks to my bf) And I had to wear them for the first time combined with something very cool, didn’t I? This denim shirt, a little longer and worn out, was the perfect choice. It is very beautiful!! I added a belt to tighten it up a little bit and a black and brown handbag. It is the kind of simple outfit that I love. How about you? Do you like it?

I have been wanting a white slouchy turtleneck for awhile as I feel like it is one of the best winter staples. I like the fit and it's comfy but I wish it was cashmere or something. I got it on sale at Nastygal though for half off ($39) so I can't really complain :)

Good morning, Everyone! How was your weekend? 

To say that Emil and I are spontaneous when it comes to travel, would be an understatement. It's not that we don't like making plans in general, I think we are simply a little bit addicted to the feeling of not knowing what tomorrow might bring. Take New Year's Eve for example, traditionally we like to spend it somewhere special. Yet this year, our busy schedules sort of got the best of us and by the time we started thinking about possible destinations, all was sold out, fully booked and unavailable. I have to admit, I was a little disappointed, but eventually settled on the idea of spending New Year's Eve in LA. After all, a quiet dinner at home could be nice, right?

Last year I set a few style resolutions, but this year I only made one: Forget the rules and just have fun! Who cares if you wear white after Labor Day? Clearly not this girl. I personally don't feel you have to wait until after Easter to throw on your favorite white denim skinnies or embrace a thick white cable knit sweater ... and maybe even pair them both together with a white button up. HI LOVES, HOPING you have had a fab weekend. Mine was full of work. I’m flying up to north of Sweden tomorrow for a shoot with Rapunzel that I’m really excited about because it’s going to be so much fun! To get ready for it I’m doing my normal routine with spray tan with Klara tonight and my nails with Jenny tomorrow before the flight hoping I’ll make it and don’t end up doing the “missing flights over mani pedis” mistake again that I did in New York. Haha, but it should be fine! Any way, here I am in a gorgeous jacket from Filippa K that will be in stores soon. And tomorrow I will prep my hair at Rapunzel. Some of you comment saying I dress to cold but a big part of what I do is showing you inspiration both how you can look tomorrow but also what to shop for the upcoming season. This jacket for example isn’t even in stores yet. But if I would show you S/S pieces when it actually is spring and summer the good stuff would already be sold out and it looses the whole purpose of me showing them. Because I want you to be able to shop my look and get inspired. So now I hope you understand how it works.

I bought these jeans a few days ago at Nordstrom. Probably dumb on my part since I will only be able to wear them for a short period of time before they no longer fit BUT I loved the light wash and thought they would make for the perfect boyfriend jean once  I’m no longer pregnant! Drew told me I was crazy ;)

I’ve had a lot of reader questions about whether I’m wearing a belly band or maternity jeans. While I don’t fit into a single dress I owned before I got pregnant (other than a stretchy one) somehow my jeans still fit me, although I’m weeks (maybe even days) away from needing to switch to maternity. I haven’t been able to find any washes that I love so if you know of any cute (and comfy) maternity jeans let me know! I need major help!

Cody and I both hate the cold, so we welcomed the abnormally warm December weather with open (and sometimes even short-sleeved) arms. But with Christmas right around the corner, we found ourselves wishing for some snow ( I swear I thought those words would never come out of my mouth!). The kids especially kept asking how long until it snows??? So we decided to surprise them and head up to the mountains.  Their eyes lit up at the first sight of snow. They were out waist deep before they could even put on all their warm layers. 10 minutes into it, Wes comes back covered and can’t figure out why he’s so cold. Mara thinks it’s funny to keep dumping snow down his back which definitely didn’t help the situation! Needless to say our snow adventure ended pretty quick. After about 20 minutes we realized the idea was better then the reality. We were all freezing!! and decided to enjoy our snow day through the window of a warm, cozy restaurant. Four hot chocolates please!

Okay, how cute is this cobalt blue bag from Charming Charlie?! And for $29, can't beat that! I chose all of these pieces based on what will transition well into the spring. This scarf works for both as seasons as a cape/shawl or a scarf - and the colors are definitely bold. 

On a different note, how many of you watch Revenge?? John and I have watched it since the beginning but we didn't realize it started back so we stayed up so late last night catching up on the first 3 episodes of this season which was fun in our book! Ha! I still like it, but I definitely prefer Scandal to it (& Jake Ballard!). I can't wait for it to start up again!
