Navy and Purple Matte Smokey Eye Shadow

Follow these step-by-step directions to create your very own purple and navy matte smokey eye.

Steps :

1. Pat a matte white shadow on your brow bone.
2. Apply a light taupe brown shade to your crease area with a fluffy crease brush. Use small circular motions to lay color down and windshield wiper motions to soften the line and blend.
3. Pat matte white shadow onto your inner eye corner.
4. Next, take a large, flat shader brush and pat on a matte, blackened purple shade all over the lid.
5. Grab a blending brush, dip the very tip into a matte navy shade and place at outer corner, blending inwards and into your crease.
6. Use a pointed pencil brush and drag the matte purple along your lower lash line.
7. Use an eyelash curler to curl your lashes.
8. Apply a black kohl liner and line the inner rim of your eye.
9. Use a black liquid liner to create a winged cat eye liner shape on top lash line.
10. Apply mascara to your top and bottom lashes.

How to wash your Makeup Brushes

How to wash your Makeup Brushes

Hello there!

I have been trying to do some light research on makeup brush cleaners, especially ones that would be somewhat moisturizing so my brushes don’t get nasty and old. I want them to last a long time and not lose their softness. I haven’t seen any reviews on your blog, maybe I missed something, but if you have tried any or have any suggestions, it would be much appreciated!

Clean makeup brushes are one of those things that are too easy to forget about. Creating your look with clean brushes can make a big difference, so it’s important to remember this step!

Whether you’re using natural bristle or synthetic bristles, cheap or expensive brushes, with the right care, your brushes should last you for years. A good cleaning will remove bacteria, oil, and old makeup that cause your look to come out muddy and undefined. Most experts suggest cleaning your makeup brushes once a week, though having something to use daily to remove excess makeup is also pretty handy.

3 Ways to Wear False Eyelashes

3 Ways to Wear False Eyelashes

A simple set of false eyelashes can really go a long way! Did you know that you can cut and manipulate a single strip of lashes to achieve a more natural look? For a bright-eyed daytime look, simply cut your favorite style of false eyelashes into individuals or a slightly bolder half strip. Go for evening glam with a full strip and trim the outside corner, if needed, to customize to your eye shape.
