As the new year begins I think we all begin to get excited for Spring and a new wardrobe. As much as I would like to believe the second Christmas is over the warm weather is on it’s way, the temperature says otherwise. Putting together a street chic look that will keep you warm in the frigid weather can sometimes be challenging. Instead of reverting to those cozy pieces (I think we could all live in soft hoodies and sweatpants!), keep in mind a few tricks for bringing out those Spring dresses in ways that make them unique and inspiring.

1. Dressy meets casual: Some of the most interesting looks are the ones that merge dressy and relaxed pieces into a effortless ensemble. I balanced out today’s dress with an edgy leather moto jacket (similar under $150 here), backpack, and a beanie. Step outside the typical pairing when opting for a dress.

2. Minimal is max (mostly): Understated looks can be some of the most alluring. Plus, minimalism is key to making budget outfits look more expensive. Think structured pieces or monochromatic tones. Don’t feel like you should skip that statement piece, though – an over-the-knee boot adds an extra bit of interest to today’s look.

3. Layer: Pulling a few accessories from your closet into your look gives you a variety of alternatives for chic (and warm!) street style. Hats, tights, scarves, etc. can transform a look when paired creatively with an ensemble. Layering pieces are always a great way to introduce detail or interest in an outfit.

4. Add Texture: You have probably heard this one a thousand times, but mixing textures is easiest during the winter. You have countless opportunities to incorporate different textures with your layers. From head to toe today’s look combined suede, leather, cable knit and more in just a few basic pieces.

Happy Monday!  I picked up this chunky black turtleneck right before my trip and literally wore it every other day.  It’s perfectly oversized (I’m wearing a size small) and not too tight around the neck.  The wool is soooo soft it feels like cashmere.  It also comes in this gorgeous pink color (I need!) and classic cream.  I paired it with my favorite camel coat and heeled boots.  If you live in a warmer climate, I suggest buying the lightweight version and pairing it with skinny jeans and a white T.

Today I’m saying again what I told you on Instagram yesterday: It’s about tartan!! It is the type of print that I love for the winter and if you have it on such a beautiful skirt even better!! I combined it with a white tee, with a nice motto “femme fatale” ^_^ and my new navy blue cardigan. I was doubting between beige and camel but when I saw this navy one I didn’t doubt it for a second. Do you like it?? I love how the belt looks, I have a thin waist and things usually feel loose, they look better with it and I like it better. Hahaha. These mustard heels bring a colour touch to this outfit. Do you like this colour combo? How about this outfit?

Thanks a million!!!! Hope that you liked the post and that you have a great weekend. I’ll see you all on Monday and meanwhile on Social Networks!! Kisses.

WE WERE OUT shooting outfits this weekend and all of a sudden it started snowing! Haha damn it! I was planning on showing you some spring pieces. And these pants from Hunkydory’s spring collection in particular. They are great and can be paired with almost everything! But the snow didn’t stop us from shooting some outfits so I hope you don’t mind some snowflakes in my outfits during the week.

I love pairing a graphic tee with a blazer- the contrast between casual & more put together is very “me”. all time favorites! I was finally able to hunt them down in my size!

I had fun wearing this look! Maybe because my new lacy boots are so saucy! Paired with my favorite skirt I'd nearly be ready for a night on the town. But that's why pairing it with such a casual sweatshirt is great - it's quite the juxtaposition and makes it more of a day time look. By the way, turning up is my cardio. Totally.

Tomorrow I'm off to Alaska! I'm trying to figure out if I'm bringing too much stuff! The problem with snow boots is that one pair is about the size of half my suitcase! (And I have 4!!!!)

Last day in Madrid before my next trip. My destinations: Florence and Barcelona. And more trips are to come in January, it will be an intense month though! These days I’m far from my social media channels and from the blog, as I’m still working on the Ikea project (you’ll be able to see it very, very soon!).

But still, I want to share with you these pics where you can see the look I wore a few days ago, with my pastel jacket from Choies. Love these colors!

Happy Monday everyone! Today’s look is one I wore over the weekend for a little pre-birthday celebration with Drew. This year my bday falls on a weekday so we decided to dress up and go to my favorite restaurant a few days early. I treated myself to all the chips and guacamole my stomach could fit and it totally satisfied all of my weird pregnant lady cravings! Best birthday ever ;)

Say hello to one of my favorite winter pieces, this cozy coat that I found at the Topshop department of Nordstrom. I love that it adds instant glamour to an outfit, even in something as casual as booties and a beanie. When dressed up, it's taken to a whole other level! I wore it over New Years and I felt like a character out of Casino, which in my opinion, is always a great thing.

Good morning, Everyone! Hope you are all having a wonderful week!

I wanted to take this opportunity to share a few pics of one of my new favorite dresses, i.e. the gorgeous black and white number I am wearing in today's post. A big fan of the black and white color combination in general, from the moment I saw this dress, I feel in love with the cut and the color block pleated side inserts. A perfect combination of classic and sexy, this one is definitely one of those  twirl-worthy dresses I am always raving about :)
