Brows that look realistic even from right up close! OH MY WORLD! So glad I know!

When we start talking about filling brows some people get a little nervous.
Usually those are the people that have very sparse brows, bare patches or are otherwise in need of quite a bit of filling.
Is it gonna look unnatural? Or like I drew them in? Am I going to look like a crazy lady?!

The answer is no…as long as  follow some really basic tips that EVERYONE can do.

Brows that look realistic even from right up close! OH MY WORLD! So glad I know!

1. Start by filling your brow with an angled brush and a little bit of shadow. I like to use an ashy brown like MAC Brun.  (thaaat will be news to… none of you:) I fill in brows with soft short strokes rather than drawing them in in one sold line. Think of drawing a circle – when you’re a kid you just press down really hard with the pencil and make one super lopsided circle, later you learn to draw softly in short strokes to get it right. Same basic dealio.

This is where I usually call it a brow, cause I’m short on time and it actually looks quite nice, but if I have more time or if I’m planning to draw my brows in fuller/thicker than usual I’ll need to go to the next step or else they’ll look less realistic.

2. Take a very fine tipped brow liner like THIS Anastasia one and, going in the pattern your brow hair actually grows, create little hair strokes. Here again pressing down fair lightly and simple flicking the pencil.

3. If you have “wild hairs” that have a mind of their own and won’t stay in place nows the time to set them with a wax or a brow gel – whichever is your preference. I recommend Gel for those who have light brow hair that you’d like to darker/define a little more.

Hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Love you guys.

Top 5 natural remedies against blackheads

Blackheads are just pimples that don’t have skin over them. That’s all they are. Because there’s no skin, and they’re exposed to the air, the top layer of gunk in your pores oxidizes and turns that darkish black color.

Top 5 natural remedies against blackheads

If you’re prone to blackheads, I have some good and bad news for you. The bad news is, large pores and oily skin are going to be a fact of life for you. The likelihood that you’ll be able to totally reverse either of those things is nil.

How to Find the Most Flattering Makeup Colors for You

How to Find the Most Flattering Makeup Colors for You

Discovering makeup colors that look good on us can sometimes feel like a disappointing shot in the dark. How many times have you selected a lipstick or eyeshadow based on what you thought was pretty and what your eye was drawn to, only to find that it didn’t do you any favors? There are a few variables that affect how colors look on us, and fortunately, there are also a few foolproof tips and tricks to determining the right colors for you.

Lip Color
The most flattering neutral or natural-but-better lipstick should mimic a more pigmented shade of your natural lip color, so you’ll be able to get some good clues just by taking a closer look at your own coloring. Peeking at the inside of your lip may not be something one generally does in public, but it’s an easy way to find the best color for you. You can also match your shade to your flushed fingers—(gently!) pinch the tip of your finger or thumb and hold so that blood gathers in the area. It’s weird, but the resulting color is guaranteed to look great on you.

Eye Makeup
We generally turn to the color wheel to find the most flattering hues on each eye color. It’s basic color theory, just like we learned in elementary school: Colors on opposite sides of the spectrum complement one another. The best way to draw attention to blue eyes is with warm, rusty reddish and orange shades, including bronze. Green and hazel eyes look gorgeous with anything in the purple family. Brown eyes are neutral, so they do best with similar earthy shades like metallic taupe, shimmery champagne and olive green, as well as true, balanced blues from powder to cobalt.

Foundation
If you’ve only ever been matched for foundation by makeup artists and sales associates, it’s entirely possible to go through life having no idea what your “undertone” is. Like wearing the wrong bra size, makeup that caters to the wrong undertone will have you looking subtly off without being glaringly obvious, which is why it’s easy to fail to identify the issue. The easiest way to tell your undertone is by looking at the underside of your arm or wrist. If the color of your veins leans green, your undertone is warm. If they look decidedly blue, you’re probably cool. If you have a strong preference toward gold over silver or vice versa, and strong feelings about which one looks better on you, there’s a good chance that you’re warm if you prefer gold and cool if you prefer silver.

Regardless of your hair or eye color, your undertone is also a great way to predict which makeup shades will work on you and which won’t. Warm tones are suited to peachy hues, orange, coral, and orange-leaning reds, while cool tones look best with rosy hues, blues and greens, purples and violets, and blue-based reds. And if you’re neutral, which means your skin leans beige rather than blue or yellow, you’re likely to be able to pull off nearly anything.

NATURAL MAKEUP + ROSIE HUNTINGTON-WHITELEY

This little firecracker inspired my latest tutorial.
There’s something softly natural and maybe a little European about her makeup.
This is a great look for the whole, “I wake up looking like this” thing.

I overdrew my upper lip like crazy to try to capture that Bee stung pout but, I still didn’t get even close.
Touch’e Rosie, Touch’e.

NATURAL MAKEUP + ROSIE HUNTINGTON-WHITELEY

Ok, so I had some SERIOUS technical difficulties with my video making skills tonight, it’s almost 2am and still not working, I would just stay up until its done but I’m gonna need some help from people that are currently deep in dreamland. Nevertheless, it’s been WAY too long since I’ve done a tutorial so I won’t make you wait another day… just maybe a few more hours. I’ll get it done ASAP and get it up just as fast as I can! So please check back later today! Here it is!

In the meantime here are the products I used:

Holy Hannah Montana this stuff is PRICEY! It was my B Day present so I’ve only had it a couple days. Not quite ready to say if it’s worth the splurge or not. Choirs of angels didn’t burst into song when I opened it (as I had expected) but, I think it’s pretty so far…I’ll keep you posted.

Natural remedies for dry or cracked lips

Lips are a sensitive area where smoother skin  can be easily damaged. Indeed winter is the season when  lips are the most affected, but in any other season you can wake up with dry and chapped lips. Whether the wind blows or you stay too long in the sun and do not moisturize your lips, regardless of the circumstances it is good  during the year to take care of your lips.

Natural remedies for dry or cracked lips

Hydration is primordial – Natural remedies for lips ranks second after hydration. If you do not drink enough water and other fluids daily (soup, tea) all the trataments or creams are useless. As long as the situation is not resolved internally, all the external treataments have no effect. Besides liquid, consume vegetables and fruits rich in water.

Remedies for dry or cracked lips – For beautiful, healthy and free from cracks  lips, it’s best to follow a routine of care. Once a week apply a light scrub on your lips. But you have to be gentle, do not apply much pressure. You can do this with  sugar moist (but not melted) or wet corn. If you have a worn toothbrush to not throw it use it to clean the dead cells from the lips. For soft, smooth and healthy lips try at home one of the natural remedies described below. After making any treatment on the lips, remove them with a cotton pad soaked in warm water.
1. When you stay in the house put honey on your lips and leave it on for 10-15 minutes.

2. Put olive oil on your lips, or you can mix the oil with the honey; Leave it  on for 10-15 minute

3. Try aloe vera gel on your lips.

4. For chapped lips is very good calendula cream.

5. Coconut oil is also very beneficial for the lips.

6. Glycerin is beneficial forthe lips and dry skin.

7. For chapped lips is very good the castor oil.

8. You can put on your lips some cream( for cooking)- for 15-30 minutes.

In closing,  very useful simple tips if they are followed:

Do not bite your chapped  lips and do not break the dry husks .

Give up of the habit of licking your lips.

Use a lip balm when you get out that you also can use it on your lips at night.

If you expose yourself to the sun,  apply on your lips a lip balm with UV protection.

8 Tricks to Make It Look Like You’re Not Wearing Makeup

8 Tricks to Make It Look Like You’re Not Wearing Makeup

Red lipstick is one thing, but on a regular weekday, looking like you’ve got on a full face of makeup can be synonymous with looking like you’re trying too hard. It’s not that we’re trying to hide the fact that we’re wearing lipstick, but more often than not, if you’re showing major signs of wearing a ton of makeup, people tend to focus on that fact instead of how good you look overall. To help you help others focus on your beauty, not your faux pas, we’re sharing our best tips for how to make it look like you’re not wearing makeup below.

Blend, blend, blend: Obvious as it may sound, blending your makeup can make or break a look. The key to a great smokey eye is blending the shadow, the secret to using highlighter is blending in the product and nothing can ruin a look more than a visible line of foundation on your jawline. With each step of your makeup routine, blend your makeup, then blend once more just for good measure.

Use neutral colors: If you’re going for the “barely there” look, choose neutral colors that will compliment your skin tone. While it’s true that purple shadows bring out hazel eyes and greens bring out brown eyes, keep things looking natural with shades of tan, brown and cream for shadows. When it comes to blush, go for peaches and roses, or the color your cheeks naturally become when you’re flushed.

Mix bronzer with your moisturizer: To get a sun-kissed look without looking like you added anything to your skin, mix a liquid bronzer in with your usual face lotion to dilute the color and help it spread easily.

Apply a primer: The benefits of a primer are twofold. First, a primer will help your makeup to look smooth and clean, not caked on or uneven. Second, when you apply primer to your eyelids, you cut way down on the likelihood of any creasing that can happen with your shadow.

Choose a lip color two shades deeper: For the ladies who won’t leave the house without something on their lips, keep things looking natural with a lip stain or tint that’s two shades deeper than your natural color for a “just kissed” look. When you’re going for an au naturel lip, avoid waxy lipsticks or dark shades.

Groom your brows: Eyebrow pencil, when used, should be two to three shades lighter than your actual brow color. Before you apply pencil, make sure your eyebrows have been groomed, whether that mean shaped, tweezed or waxed. Nothing takes the attention away from a pretty face like ungroomed eyebrows.

Use the correct concealer color: When concealing trouble spots like dark circles or pimples, using the right kind of concealer is crucial. Avoid orange, “fake tan” colors of concealer. Use yellow-toned concealer for redness or dark circles, lavender concealer for yellowish skin or extremely dark circles and green concealer for pimples or other red spots.

Avoid mascara clumps and flakes: First and foremost, if your mascara is more than three months old, you need to ditch the tube in favor of a fresh one. Old mascara gets dried out, causing clumps, flakes and sometimes even infection. Curl your eyelashes before applying mascara for a good, natural base, then apply by shaking the wand at the root of the eyelashes and brushing up and out. For a more natural look, apply just one coat. To take things a step further, use a brown or clear formula instead of black. Your lashes will look great, but no one will be able to tell why.

Brighten Up: Tutorial on Makeup Highlighting

Brighten Up: Tutorial on Makeup Highlighting

Highlighting and contouring is a mainstay in celebrity and red carpet makeup techniques. The reason being, a highlighted face looks as if it has perfect lighting on it, no matter the angle. It allows you to define your bone structure while minimizing flaws and it gives you a simply glowing complexion. Most women who’ve heard of highlighting, but have to try it, think it’s out of their skill league. Not so, it’s actually simpler than it appears. Once you get the hang of it, you’ll use it for special events and be able to do it quickly for your everyday makeup routine too! Here’s a tutorial with step-by-step instructions on the basic highlighting techniques.

Blush Up: Start by blushing up your cheeks with your standard blush brush. Don’t forget to smile as you apply, to make sure you get the apples covered. A subtle pink is a good way to go for most skin types. If you’re used to using a deeper, redder, blush you may want to switch it out for highlighting.

The Bronze: This is sort of the meat and potatoes of your contouring efforts. The color bronzer you choose is very important. If it’s too tan, orange or has sparkles in it, you’re going to be looking at something totally unnatural instead of something totally right on. Pick a bronzer that has a cool undertone. By “cool” I mean to say it lacks that orange-y terracotta color so many bronzers have. It might sound complicated, but once you get to the store and start looking at your choices, you’ll see what I mean. Think “cool” as opposed to “reddish-orange.” Use an angled medium sized brush to apply the bronzer lightly to just underneath your cheekbones. You’re essentially creating a shadow that will naturally highlight the contours of your cheeks. Next, apply bronzer to the outer edges of your face, near your jawline, hairline, etc. Remember, start with a light touch and add more later if you think it’s necessary.

Drawing lesson: Bronzing comes in two parts. The second of which involves defining your nose. Take a small eye shadow brush and dip it in the bronzer, tap off any excess. Now draw a thin line down on each side of your nose. Start at the bottom edge of your eyebrow and draw a straight line to the tip of your nose. Take the same brush and apply bronzer underneath the bottom of your lip, this will make it more prominent. Take a bigger eye shadow brush and use it to blend the lines on your nose, without erasing them. Finally, use an eyebrow pencil (preferably a light brown) to draw on the outside of your lips, as if you’re lining them with lip liner. Just a thin line as close to your lip line as possible, without going on your lips. Use the sponge at the bottom of the pencil or any other makeup sponge to blend that line.

Conceal: Use a concealer on a stiff, thick blending brush to apply highlights to your face. It’s all about the placement here. Think of the top of your cheek as an invisible triangle, apply the concealer from the bottom side of your nose to the upper area under your bottom lashes and outward to the edge of your cheek. Repeat on the other side. Now do the same with the area of skin underneath your nose and above your top lip. Do it at the bottom of your chin. Finally, use the same technique to add some concealer to the center of your forehead, blending in circles as you apply.

Thin Cream Line: Take your lip brush and dip it in the concealer. Draw a thin line down the middle of your nose. Use your finger to blend the line.

Illuminate: If you want to add a finishing touch, some highlighting illuminator on your cheekbones is just the thing.

Voila! You are highlighted!

How to Fake Fuller Lips (No injections required!)

How to Fake Fuller Lips (No injections required!)

Celebrities like Angelina Jolie and Scarlett Johansson have been known for years for their beautifully full lips. These days, Kylie Jenner’s unusually plump pout has become the talk of the town and center of attention on social media. Some lucky ladies are naturally born with a fuller set of lips, while others (cough, Kylie) opt for the needle-enhanced pout. We think that there is no need to go to extremes to get pretty pillowy lips—our motto is: fake ‘em!

PREP

Start with a blank canvas and cover lips with a creamy concealer. By doing this, lips will blend into your skin and make the lip-lining process boundary-less.

LINE

Without getting carried away, use a lip liner that is as close to your natural lip shade as possible to create a defined faux-lip just outside the natural perimeter of the lips. This will ensure that lips appear larger than they really are.

APPLY COLOR

Fill in the area inside the line with your favorite nude lipstick (Tom Ford has some great options) to keep the look as natural as possible. We recommend using a lip brush for precise application.

FINISHING TOUCH

Use a lip plumping formula to finish off the look. This way, you will moisturize, and add shine and a little bit of volume to your lips.

From supermodel Cara Delevingne to actress Lily Collins, strong arches abound—and this is one trend that everyone can—and should—embrace. “Brows help frame the face,” says Birchbox resident makeup guru, Nathaniel Yordan. “And strong frames create better features.” Unfortunately, not all of us were born with the bushy brow gene. And while we already know how to tame overgrown brows, this month we’re looking to beef them up. We turned to Nathaniel to show us how to get arches to rival Brooke Shields.

5 tutorials to teach you how to shape & groom your eyebrows

Ever since I discovered thick, angular eyebrows make your face look longer and slimmer, I have been really particular about my eyebrows, but after 6 months of trying to grow them with minimal intervention, I decided it was time to visit the brow bar at the mall.
Which proved to be a huge mistake.
You see, despite asking the gal not to touch the thickness of my eyebrows, they were thinner than Kelly Taylor’s were back in the 1990s when she was done with me.
(You got the 90210 reference, right?)
I was not happy.
And since I still wasn’t over the horrendous experience I had last summer, when I walked out of a different brow bar with jet-black eyebrows that DID NOT match my strawberry-blonde hair, I was more than a little angry.
Why don’t people LISTEN to me, anyway?
So I’ve decided enough is enough, and from this point forward, I’m going to do my eyebrows myself from the comfort of my own bathroom.
But before I can do that, I needed to learn some basics, and since I don’t want any of you to go through the hell that I’ve experienced in relation to my eyebrows, I decided to share 5 fantastic tutorials to teach YOU how to shape and groom your eyebrows properly as well. I love all of the different tips and tricks each of these tutorials shows, and after finally convincing myself to splurge on a proper set of tweezers (I got the Tweezerman LTD Stainless Steel Slant Tweezer in HOT PINK!), I finally look like a normal human being again.
I think.
Good luck!

The Better Skin Diet: What to Eat and What to Avoid

The Better Skin Diet: What to Eat and What to Avoid

We spend countless hours slathering on serums, moisturizers, peels and masks, all in the hopes that our visage will appreciate our efforts and reward us by staying as clear and spot-free as possible. But what you put in your body is just as important as what you put on it. We got the inside scoop from Dr. Joshua Zeichner, director of Cosmetic and Clinical Research at Mt. Sinai Hospital, who shared the foods we should be eating and avoiding for beautiful skin. These foods work from the inside out and promote a healthy, plump epidermis — helping you stress less and live more. Now this is one type of diet we can get on board with…

What Vitamins Are Good For Hair Growth

What Vitamins Are Good For Hair Growth

We all want strong, luxurious looking hair. The effects of a poor diet can take their toll on your entire body but the effects can start to wreak havoc on your hair. When your hair starts thinning and falling out, it could be tied to nutritional deficiencies. If your diet contains too much processed and unhealthy foods you might not get the vitamins and minerals you need to keep your hair growing strong. Too much caffeine from coffee and carbonated beverages can lead to hair loss. Making sure you get the right vitamins and minerals are essential to keep you from going bald. If you are ready to revamp your hair you’ll need to know what vitamins are good for hair growth, you’ll have that long flowing hair in not time.

If you like browsing the hair isle or strolling about beauty supply stores you’ll see a number of products containing retinol. Retinol is another name for Vitamin A. Vitamin A produces the enzyme that helps to stabilize the production of collagen. The restoration of collagen improves hair growth by fighting off free radicals that affect your hair growth, texture, and thickness.

B Vitamins

One of the best vitamins for hair growth is b vitamins; these vitamins will help you retain the hair you have on your head now. B vitamin deficiencies can cause hair loss and breakage. B Vitamins also help your body create iron; a necessary component for cells to work properly. Without Vitamin B12 your body won’t be able to process any of the foods you eat. Biotin helps with protein and your hair contains a protein called keratin, without biotin your hair will break.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is another vitamin that helps produce collagen in the same manner as Vitamin A, vitamin C reduces free radicals. Without adequate vitamin c your hair will be dry and your hair will have split ends. Vitamin C is not water soluble; your body won’t store it so you’ll need to eat vitamin rich foods or take a supplement.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E will repair and rebuild tissue; when rubbed into the scalp I will repair the damage to follicles. You’ll need health follicles for your hair to grow. To get the amount you need you can open a pill up and rub it into your scalp.

Calcium

Calcium is one of the most abundant minerals in the body and is necessary for most of your bodily functions including hair growth. Calcium is essential for your cells to communicate.

Iron

If you have an iron deficiency you may also have anemia. Iron is essential for the production of red blood cells.

Zinc

You’ll need zinc to repair your hair cells; it also helps to keep your oil glands in check. In order for your body to process other vitamins and minerals you’ll need to make sure to get your recommended daily allowances of zinc.

Recommendations for the best vitamins for hair growth: take a multivitamin that incorporates all the vitamins you need and helps you obtain the recommended daily allowance for each vitamin or mineral.

7 Best Makeup Tips For Oval Face

Makeup is a woman’s best friend. But if overdone, this friend can easily turn into a foe! There are some basic makeup steps that you need to follow to get your look just right. Remember – the basics of makeup depend on your skin type, skin tone and face cut.

7 Best Makeup Tips For Oval Face

Do you have an oval face? Are you tired of looking around for a proper makeup guide for your face type? Is it a nightmare for you when it comes to choosing the basic makeup tools? Don’t worry ladies, help is at hand! I have listed the best makeup tips that will surely add to the features of your oval face!

1. Natural Foundation:

It must be upsetting to find an all new foundation tip every time you search the web for a suitable foundation for oval face. Don’t get carried away with lame claims! There is no way you can transform your overall look by simply changing the foundation you currently use! If you have an oval face, all that you need to do is stick to the foundation that is closest to your complexion. Yes, the foundation you use depends on your complexion and not the face shape, and all the brands claiming otherwise are just misleading you!

2. Lip Art:

Did someone tell you not to highlight your lips if you have an oval face cut? Have you been facing constant criticism for lip makeup that looks unnatural and overdone on your face? If yes, then you might just find the answer to perfect lip makeup for oval face shape right here! It is not complementary to your features to highlight your eyes and lips simultaneously. It looks extremely overdone and ruins the complete look of the face. You can surely add a lot of drama to your lips by using mysterious dark lipstick shades, attractive glosses, and sparkles. The only thing you need to keep in mind is keeping your eye makeup simple while highlighting your lips.

3. Drama To Eyes:

Oval face can carry each eye dramatization with utmost grace. If you are an eye makeup lover like most women, then creating drama with creamy shadows and thick lashes must be your cup of tea. If ever you faced embarrassment due to heavily dramatized eye makeup, it was never the fault of your face cut. Instead, you must have highlighted your lips and eyes, both at the same time. As mentioned above, choose to add drama to either your eyes or lips, but don’t try to create magic with both at the same time!

4. The Cheek Peak:

A sneak peak to the book of styling makeup tips for oval face shapes unearths the basic art of using bronzer. You may stick to simpler shades or choose the louder ones, but you need to use very little amount of your bronzer. Applying thick layers of bronzer from your contour kit will ruin your look totally. Oval face needs just a little touchup at the cheeks. Try being lighter on the bronzer part and note the huge impact it creates. Since cheekbones occupy the widest part on an oval face, this tip can be the biggest factor in making and breaking one’s overall look.

5. Shuffle Between The Shades:

Never use the same shade of bronzer and highlighter for oval face. If you use a darker bronzer, complement it with a lighter highlighter and vice-versa. Same shades of highlighter and bronzer bring out a choker’s face that you certainly would not be interested in!

6. Rush Of Blush:

This makeup tip is not just for oval face beauties, but for all the sassy divas who love makeup. Playing with mild coral and light pink blush can add a lot of beauty to your face. Remember to use a powdered pink blush with in and out strokes (very gentle) to complete your face makeup.

7. The Glossy You:

Lip gloss adds more magic to the oval face when compared with any other high impact lipstick. Oval face gets a scintillating finish with lip glosses. If you can just manage without lipsticks, you might just believe in what I say. Insist on adding a lot of eye drama (cat eye makeup for instance) and stick to using sultry shiny lip glosses for evening parties.

Oval face might be the perfect shape on paper, but this face cut (along with heart shape faces) needs a lot of patience to get the correct and desired looks. But nothing is too difficult for our readers, right! Just follow these tips and you are sure to set many a hearts on fire for sure!

Do you use any of the above-mentioned tips to enhance the beauty of your oval face? Is there an additional tip you would like to share with our readers? Share with us in the comment section.

11 Simple Home Remedies For Treating Dry Skin

11 Simple Home Remedies For Treating Dry Skin

Dry skin is one of the most frustrating and common skin problems that each of us face at some point. Pollution, harmful rays and constant weather changes wreak havoc on the skin and make the skin dry and sensitive. When skin becomes dehydrated, it loses its flexibility and becomes cracked, scaly and sometimes itchy.

Dry skin is not a disease and is mainly caused due to external factors. However there might be few cases where dry skin results from internal factors like health conditions or genetic predispositions.

Well, I do! I’m always fighting with my hair feeling dry and quite dead. I am guilty of hair straightening every day, blow dry it, and even with the use of harsh chemicals on it. So I decided to try this egg and olive oil hair mask on and I loved it. It really saved. After using this my hair feel super soft and moisturized. Homemade Egg Hair Masks,Castor Oil and Egg Hair Mask

A few days ago I made a homemade conditioner for damaged hair. This mask is made primarily with raw eggs and is an excellent conditioning and strengthening the hair mask . Eggs are high in protein and will give your hair a good conditioning protein fortification, especially if your hair breakage. I remember that we used to buy Extra shampoo containing eggs back in 1980 , which strengthened the hair.

Homemade Oil Against Stretch Marks

Homemade Oil Against Stretch Marks

This homemade oil is wonderful when it comes to reducing stretch marks.
It is based on numerous seeds and essential oils among which an important role is played by the rose oil. The rose oil has antioxidant and healing properties and is often used in the alternative medicine and cosmetics when we talk about burnings, scars or stretch marks.
You should know it can be used in treating acne as well.

To make this homemade oil against stretch marks you need the following type of oils:

70 ml noisette oil;
25 ml rose oil;
2 ml rosemary essential oil;
2 ml geranium essential oil;
1 ml lavender essential oil.
It will be better if you use a recipient with a dropper because you will only need to use few drops of this oil.
In the recipient add, one by one, all the above oils. Then gently shake the bottle in order to mix the ingredients.
Apply few drops of this oil twice per day: one in the morning and once in the evening.
You should follow this treatment for several months, but do not overdo it – 6 month is more than enough.

Another great thing about this homemade oil: you can keep it for 1 year in good conditions.

Before I finish I must say this is not recommended for for pregnant women or women who are nursing, because it contains essential oils.

Homemade Biore Strips

Homemade Biore Strips

Being 39 weeks pregnant and having not been feeling too good, I asked Olivia to model one of my FAVORITE beauty DIY’s !! This is a recipe on how to make your own Biore strips that you can use just on your nose, like you would a Biore strip, or you can do it to your whole face which is what I like to do and is what I had Olivia do in the photos! (And yes it is sickening how amazing her skin is without any make up!!) But this little concoction will leave your skin as smooth as ever and you’ll feel amazing.
So here is the recipe and directions…
1. Mix 1 TBSP Knox Unflavored Gelatin (make sure you get unflavored!!) with 1 1/2 – 2 TBSP of milk (totally preference! I have done both and prefer to do 1 1/2 Tbsp.) in a plastic cup or something you can throw away after.
2. Microwave concoction for 10-15 seconds and apply to face immediately (it hardens quick!)
*I mix and apply mine with the thick wooden little ice cream spoons from Wal-Mart – or you can use popsicle stick or whatever you have laying around :) and if you don’t have a microwave or something you can always heat up the milk in a pot beforehand and then add it to the gelatin.
3. Wait til the mixture on your face has dried completely and then peel off!
*Word to the wise – if you have peach fuzz it may pull on it! And hurt haha. So avoid those areas like around your ear and hair line and what not if you don’t want to experience that.
And that is it! Just two ingredients and your face will feel like a million bucks after no joke! It seriously makes it feel so smooth and flawless and your make up will go on like a DREAM the next day! Hope you guys all like it!! xoxo
