Here is what I wore to the Chris Gelinas show at the Standard hotel as my second look of NYFW 2015. I was pretty casual but pretty comfy too. All the models wore Sperry shoes, a symbol of freedom and allure of the sea. Did you know that Sperry shoes were invented as a solution to slippery boat decks? So these shoes came to good use on all the icy New York streets.
Chris Gelinas went with a strong all American theme. The cut and style of the garments were really clean and structured. There were a lot of muted tones and rougher materials. The American flag back drop was a great touch and the music was somber throughout but finished with an upbeat tune. Overall I enjoyed it and Chris seemed like a such happy guy when he ran out at the end of the show to wave at the audience. He really put a smile on a lot of faces.
