How-To : Textured French Twist Step by Step - Daily New Fashions
We love this time of year for so many reasons — but the opportunity to get glammed up is at the top of the list! Between work parties, family gatherings, and new year’s eve soirées, we’ll have plenty of excuses to break our best party dresses in the weeks to come. We met up with senior stylist Erica Rae at Roar Salon to learn how to create a perfectly elegant updo that will make any holiday outfit shine: a modern take on a trusted classic — the french twist. With Austin musician Erin Ivey playing model, this look strikes just the right note for the holidays.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Begin by doing a quick texture “set”: prep hair with Kérastase V.I.P. Hairspray, and lightly crimp the hair around the hairline starting at the root.
2. Next you’ll section the hair. Create a center “mohawk” section, separate and pin side sections on either side of the mohawk.
3. Tease the mohawk section starting from the front and working your way back.
4. Smooth out the top layer of hair and pull the mohawk section back loosely to create a “bouffant” look.
5. Keeping the bouffant full, begin twisting the mohawk in a downward direction and pin in place at the nape of the neck.
6. Starting on with the left section of hair, take 1″ horizontal sections from hairline and lightly twist. Grab a thin piece of hair at the end. “Push and pull” to create texture.
7. Pin the end of the twisted section to the opposite side of the center twist with large bobby pins.
8. Repeat on opposite side and continue working from one side to the next, all the way to the bottom.
9. Once you have reached the boot, you can then decide to tuck the hair into the twist or style the remaining hair as you wish.
10. Finish hair with product (VIP spray).

NEUTRAL MIX - Cardigans, White Denim Skinny Jeans, Grey Tee, Nude Pumps, Camel Leather Handbag / Hello Fashion
Weekends are Cody’s cheat days so we always make our way to some sort of dessert spot. This weekend we went to Bruges Waffles. They make waffles into the tastiest desserts piled with whip cream, strawberries, and chocolate.
Today’s look is all about neutrals. Neutrals are the basis of any wardrobe – they mix and match with everything. One of the most elegant combinations is neutrals paired together – especially in spring tones (think white, tan, beige, grey, and/or blush). When you wear the palette head to toe, they blend and accent off other shades. I’m obsessed with this beige cardigan I picked up a couple weeks ago. It’s so soft and matches everything. Complete your all neutral look with neutral accessories (loving this tan leather watch) and a soft nail color (loving this blush color) for a timeless, understated, classic look.

SPRING FEELING - Structured flutter tee, Denim High Rise Jeans, Tory Burch Penny Wedge Sandals / The Sweetest Thing
John got Saturday off so we spent part of the day outdoors (playing with Fitz) & it was sooooo nice being able to wear wedges and short sleeves.. and then I woke up Sunday morning to a text from John being like "look outside (snowflake emoji)".. :/ Needless to say, the wedges were put away, but only for a little while - I'm traveling somewhere a little warmer next week! Do y'all have Spring Break plans??! I'd love to hear them!

Butterfly Gown - Vivaluxury Fashion Blog

Good morning, Everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
If you read my blog on regular basis, you may have noticed that lately, it's been all about floor-length gowns for me and the amazing, lace and sequined butterfly Via Della Perle number I am wearing in today's post is definitely one of my favorites so far. Couldn't decide what I love the most about it if I tried, but I have a feeling, it is the combination of elements rather than a particular detail. I think what attracted me to this dress in the first place was the beautiful gunmetal butterfly embroidery, but the open back combined with the sexy lace asymmetric hem made me fall in love!
In terms of styling a floor length gown, though it can certainly look great paired with an up-do and demure, ladylike accessories, I prefer to go for a slightly nonchalant look and wear it with casual hair, edgier accessories like studded heels and multi-finger rings and a bright lip.

Monochrome outfits are an easy way to look more wealthy, polished and mature. Of course fit is extremely important (loose yet fitted - nothing should be tight) and it is best to choose suit separates more often than not. The little details like my gorgeous necklace and the blouse caged cut outs make it more interesting. I hope you guys love this look. I tried something new and would love to hear what you think. xoxo
White Skinny Jeans, Cable Knit Turtleneck, Highland Boot in Topo Suede - Sequins and Things
This outfit is basically a culmination of all the items I've been loving lately. These boots are worth every penny, and y'all know I love a little bit of sparkle to glam up an otherwise mediocre look. It's been pretty chilly here in Jacksonville, so although I have been anxiously awaiting warmer weather ... I am a little bummed to pack away all the cozy attire. But, really ... bring on the sunshine and bathing suits! [Can you tell I'm a little wishy washy? ;)] Have a great Friday, y'all, and enjoy your weekend! Thanks for stopping by! xo.

STRIPES + BURGUNDY - Black Long Sleeve Stripe Bodycon Dress with Burgundy Waistcoat and Nude Pumps / Mi Aventura Con La Moda
Last week of February!!!! I’ve always liked the end of February for a couple things, hahaha!! February the 29th is my grandfather’s birthday. Even though this year February has 28 days we’ll have a celebration on Sunday, and he’ll turn 91!! He was pretty sick but he’s doing better now, he’s such a great person!! The second thing is that spring is coming closer, I can’t wait!!
The truth is that here in Seville the temperatures are already rising and the weather is getting better. This is what I wore on Friday, I changed the heels for a pair of sneakers because we were going to go shopping downtown, hahaha!! I love the dress and I think it look very good, at least I like it a lot!!! I’ve had this fur waistcoat for a couple years now but I like it a lot and it combined really well with this dress, didn’t it? I chose this snake printed handbag, I like how it looked!! ^_^ How about you? Do you like this outfit?
Thank you very much for your comments and visits!!! Have a nice week, I’ll see you tomorrow. Kisses!!!!!! ;)

TRENCH AND LEATHER - black leather skinnies with trench and high heels black pumps / Johanna Olsson
HI GUYS, I also paired this jacket with a leather look. Since it has some leather details on it. I really loves trench coats with leather over all and I also like this look a lot. A major tip for me during the coat-season is to go with neutrals underneath from head to toe. So you want a top that matches your pants and goes all the way up to your neck so you don’t look to cold or “bare”. My favorite colors to do this with is black, white, nude and navy (okay those are my favorite colors always). But I was so happy when finding this basic top from Karen Kane. Works with all my black pants and underneath basically every coat! Perfect item.

How To Style A Widows Peak Hairline - Daily New Fashions
Widows peak hair lines are certainly unique, but unfortunately can be a little difficult to style. I have a widows peak, and for years struggled with how to style it and often wished I didn’t have it at all! Now I love and embrace my individual hair line and have learned a few things about styling it along the way.
