I love to dress it up and play with colors quite a bit, but every once in a while a classic neutral look is just what I need! I also have to add that although I'm still struggling with the Birk's I couldn't help myself when I found these beauties from ZARA! They are slightly similar but I absolutely love these and they go with everything!
I hope you're all excited for the weekend! Have a great one!!

Hi y’all! So if you didn’t get enough bikini action from yesterday’s post, I have good news.. clearly it’s another bikini post! I’m breaking my chronological order, I should bring you my Nicole Miller look from last week, but I’m going to post that later this week instead because I loved these photos and I couldn’t wait! Anyway, I am loving this look, it’s totally one that I didn’t plan out or even think about preemptively it just kind of came together. I just decided I wanted to wear this bikini and let that guide me… shortly I realized this skirt matched perfectly (thanks forever 21)! One of my favorite little crop tops, matchy-matchy accessories and a hair-band-tie thing made this look perfectly mod- a little bit 60′s barbie.. a lot a bit, adorable in my opinion!

If you ever don’t know what to wear and you find yourself staring blankly into your vast closet I find that a great way to get started is to pick one item that you haven’t worn in a while or yet at all, or something you’ve been thinking about lately, and start there- choose to wear that item, whether it be shoes, a jacket or a bikini and plan your look around that- it makes the task a lot less daunting and handles the “I don’t know where to start” issue.

Happy Tuesday

I was ready to go back home. I wore a comfy, white look and this Mexican-style bag gave a very special touch.

We have been having the best time on the beach. Livie is absolutely loving the water and it is so much fun watching her explore and learn new things. We went out to dinner last night and I wore this crop top skirt combo. I have a slight obsession with this maxi skirt. I guess my favorite color this year is blue because I obviously cant get enough of it! The ombre effect made me think of water which of course made it perfect for the beach! I paired it with an oversized ruffle crop top and flat sandals. PS the top does run small so size up!

This striped gown is what I wore to my friend Brittney Palmer‘s wedding a few weeks ago. The wedding was gorgeous, overlooking the Pacific Ocean in a grand mansion that we heard was once owned by Marilyn Monroe herself. Brittney looked like a goddess and even the bride’s maid’s dresses were gorgeous. Roger and I decided to coordinate rather than match and we both wore our favorite designers.. Roger is a huge fan of Hugo Boss and my favorite designer for years now, as you may know, is Jessica Simpson. Now, this dress in particular reminded me of a dress I saw a couple years ago on the runway- you know the one… Anyway, when I saw this gown in the Jessica Simpson SS/14 lookbook I totally flipped- it’s my dream gown for literally a fraction of the price, made by my favorite designer, which so happens to fit like a glove… If you are like me, and became totally addicted to this dress, you can get your fix here.

Roger as I mentioned above loves Hugo Boss, he looks great in their sports jackets and we found this suit at Bloomingdales a few weeks ago and we actually got him this shirt from Ted Baker at an event on one of our first dates. He also wore an onyx, sapphire, and gold plated set of cufflinks and a John Varvatos tie which I picked out blindly but it ended up being perfect. Roger wanted it to be a little bold with stripes going in different directions and I think it really worked- I loved it!

I wore my new Nudist heels by Stuart Weiztman not knowing we’d be walking around in grass, or also that my shoes wouldn’t show at all, but I still loved the full look, especially my DIY bag!

P.S. I wore a petty coat (like a bussle or a fluffy underskirt thing- if that makes sense) to make my dress really poof out and flow like the ODLR version… it was $40 at a vintage store but made all the difference!

Thanks so much for reading!

It's always been my opinion that you just can't have enough summer dresses. Even after summer, transitioning a dress into the fall & winter seasons is so easy.  This little summer dress in particular is one that will get a lot of wear during fall & winter seasons since I’m already coming up with weather-proof outfits like pairing it with some tights, black boots & my edgy motto jacket.

Today I made it easy for me and threw on a pair of blue jeans, suede pumps and a tshirt. As one may say, less is more sometimes. I also hade a beloved reunion with evelina who took the pivtores, and i mean, aren’t they just fabulous?
